The PGA Tour and DP World Tour have announced a new multi-year partnership with the Asian Tour that will extend through at least 2029.

As part of their existing strategic alliance, the PGA Tour and DP World Tour will partner with the Asian Tour to help provide commercial and playing opportunities while establishing pathways for the leading Asian Tour members, starting with the 2027 DP World Tour season.

Top-performing players from the Asian Tour will earn access to the DP World Tour or HotelPlanner Tour, with final details to be announced this fall. The DP World Tour will also return to co-sanctioning select tournaments with the Asian Tour, beginning in 2027. Full details of those events will be outlined later this year.

“This agreement is another example of what can be accomplished when organizations come together with a shared vision for the future of professional golf,” PGA Tour senior vice president of international Christian Hardy said in a release.

Golf Digest reports there will be an addition of at least two co-sanctioned events between the Asian Tour and DP World Tour for the 2027, 2028 and 2029 seasons.

The Asian Tour has been a key partner with LIV Golf in recent years, creating a series of tournaments called the International Series, with LIV Golf players frequently participating in those events. The top-two finishers on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit also received a direct promotion to LIV Golf for the 2026 season.
