After returning from her one-game back injury absence with a 22-point performance in a 90-82 win over the Golden State Valkyries, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark spoke to the media about the origins of the previously-mentioned back ailment and how she feels going forward.
Given the concern about any relative injury for the Hawkeye legend following her injury-plagued 2025 season, some fans and media were naturally alarmed when Clark sat for a game early during this 2026 WNBA season.

Clark went about alleviating some of those concerns on Tuesday.
“I don’t think it necessarily started at a certain point. I think it’s just been over the course of the last year when I’ve kind of been understanding my body more. I don’t think it’s anything of concern, no,” Clark said.
Clark and the Fever (4-2) begin their two-game West Coast road trip on Thursday, when they again clash with the Valkyries from Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif.
That rematch between Indiana and Golden State is set for a 9 p.m. CT tipoff and will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
